Grumpy keeps telling me,"Gimme some dirt on Massu!" This is reportedly him but I don't see it.

The award ceremony for celebrities chosen by students, the "MTV Student Voice Awards" was held in Tokyo on the 26th. Actor Oguri Shun (26) attended the event. He won in the Actor category for the 2nd consecutive year. When requested for a 'yell' by the students, Shun who left high school without finishing, humbly send out his message,"It's better not to quit being a student halfway through like me. There are times when I think it would have been better had I studied more. I think everyone, too, should go on and study properly."

学生に支持される著名人を表彰する「ＭＴＶストゥーデント・ボイス・アワード」の授賞式が２６日都内で行われ、俳優の小栗旬（２５）が出席した。男優部門を２年連続で受賞。学生へのエールを求められ「途中でストゥーデントを辞めてしまった僕みたいにならない方がいい」と自身が高校を中退しているため、控えめにあいさつ。「もっと勉強しておけばよかったと思うことがある。みんなもちゃんと勉強しておいた方がいいと思う」とメッセージを送った。

At first I wondered why me ? But the drama's production staff approached me with such enthusiasm and said "It definitely has to be Kitagawa-kun this time..."
I discussed it with Iwasawa-kun and Yuzu's staff too and we thought since this would also certainly be a plus for Yuzu, I decided to take up the challenge.
Of course we will still go on with Yuzu's work and live performances while doing the drama. Please wait and look forward to it.

Innocent Love
Kitagawa Yuujin male lead
Shucks so the YK as the male lead rumours were true. He was referred to YK-kun so I was still hoping it was some other guy. This one's more like a -san isn't he ?! He doesn't look half-bad here actually. But can't imagine him with Maki when I see him here
The rest of the cast includes Kashii Yu, Fukushi Seiji, Narimiya Hiroki and Uchida Yuki.

Yuzu's Kitagawa, Male lead role out of the blue in drama debut
The theme is of modern-day solitude. The heroine, estranged from society, Kanon (Horikita Maki) finds love and this is painted as a modern version of the Cinderella story. The companion that she loves wholeheartedly will be played by Yuzu's leader, Kitagawa.
Acting after all this while, furthermore a first drama appearance which corresponds to about the same level as a main lead, Kitagawa said,"I was very surprised but as a whole new challenge for myself, I will do the very best I can."
He plays a cheerful and innocent pianist who carries a profound sadness inside him, a difficult role.
Yuzu celebrated their 10th year anniversary last year.
During his live performances, he grabs the microphone and moves freely around the stage with his invigorating and cheerful smiling face. Those who know him during his acting years will find it nostalgic and those who don't will find him projecting something fresh. It will no doubt be a big topic of discussion.
Update : According to this Sponichi article, he plays a pianist who leads a children's choir in church.

今作は“現代の孤独”をテーマに、世間から疎外されたヒロイン・佳音（かのん、堀北）が、幸せを見つけるまでを描く現代版シンデレラ・ストーリー。その堀北が一途に愛する相手・殉也を演じるのが、ゆずのリーダー、北川だ。
あまり知られていないが、北川は、ゆずが軌道に乗る前の一時期、俳優として活動。これまでテレビ朝日系「名探偵保健室のオバさん」（平成９年放送）などに出演、８年公開の映画「オールナイトロング３最終章」では、ナント主演を務めた過去がある。１０年にゆずがブレークし、音楽活動がすべてとなった。
だが、今回、久々の俳優業、しかも初の連ドラ出演で準主役という大役に抜てき。北川は「とてもビックリしましたが、新たな自分への挑戦として、いまできることを精いっぱい頑張ります」と、オファーを受け入れた。
演じるのは、明るく天真爛漫（らんまん）に振る舞いながらも、内側に深い悲しみを抱えているピアニスト、という難しい役柄。フジテレビの中野利幸プロデューサーは「彼の内面からにじみ出る色気がドラマに反映できたら、すてきな化学反応が起こると思う」と期待している。
ゆずも昨年デビュー１０周年を迎え、ますます波に乗っているところ。北川は「この経験が、これからの音楽活動にも刺激を与えてくれることを楽しみにしています」と、相乗効果に期待を寄せる。
ライブでは、ハンドマイクを持ってステージを縦横無尽に駆け回り、さわやかな明るい笑顔を振りまいている北川。彼の俳優時代を知っている人には懐かしく、知らない人には新鮮に映りそうで、大きな話題となるのは間違いない。

An event for the movie Hana Yori Dango Final took place on the 21st in Tokyo, Ebisu Garden Place. Arashi's Matsumoto Jun (24) and Inoue Mao (21) made an appearance in front of 700 fans in the same wedding outfit they had on in the movie. Today marks the last of the movie's campaign. The spot was also used during the movie's filming and Matsumoto said,"It makes me happy to return to a place filled with memories." A smiling Inoue said,"There were many difficult moments but I'm glad we persevered." As of the 20th, the box-office proceeds has exceeded 7,100,000,000 yen and it is the top live-action film of 2008. The theme song sung by Arashi, One Love, has also sold more than 500,000 units, putting it in 1st place of the best-selling singles of 2008.

Matsujun & Mao, in their wedding outfit once more
Lead actress Inoue Mao (21) and her co-star Arashi's Matsumoto Jun (24) who star in Hana Yori Dango Final, the movie version of a popular drama series, made an appearance in Tokyo in the wedding outfit they wore during the movie.
They walked along the 70 metres of red carpet to the loud cheers of about 700 fans. David Ito (42) who plays the secretary of the son of a distinguished family (Matsumoto's character) said, "My birthday is on the 12th and I have received flowers from Mao-chan, we've spent a lot of time together so..." but Matsumoto gave him the cold shoulder and said to the crowd's laughter," I have a birthday coming up too, on the 30th, but we don't have the custom of celebrating a birthday during just any day of the birthday month."
According to its distributor Toho, it has made 7,100,000,000 yen and been watched by 5,900,000 people, making it the top live Japanese film of the year.

７０メートルのレッドカーペットを歩きファン約７００人は大歓声。トークでは松本扮する御曹司の秘書役のデビット伊東（４２）から「１２日の誕生日に真央ちゃんから花が届きましたが、ずーっと一緒にいた人からは…」と振られた松本は「僕も３０日が誕生日で、誕生月に人の誕生日を祝う習慣がない」と笑いを誘った。
配給の東宝によると、２０日現在で興収７１億円、動員５９０万人を突破し今年公開の実写邦画でトップ。
